NMAP partnered with acclaimed Mexican think tank, El Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad A.C. (IMCO) to produce five videos that focus on wide-ranging corruption and misappropriation of taxes. The videos accomplish this by demonstrating everyday citizens’ attitudes towards corruption, showing the physical results of corruption in Mexican cities, and demonstrating visually how corruption works in practice. These three videos told the stories of real boondoggle projects—many of which are famous in Mexico—to demonstrate to Mexican citizens some of the real, physical impacts of corruption. The videos were widely distributed through dozens of media outlets and received millions of views on social media.
