E-Learning: Narrative Change for Advocates

Narrative change is a relatively new concept and advocacy approach for many human and environmental rights advocates. While often conflated with strategic communications and campaigning, narrative change has more in common with cultural production and behavioral science.

To prime advocates for using narrative change and strategic storytelling in their work, and to demonstrate how narrative change as a process can plug and play with strategic communications, NMAP has developed this self-paced, interactive online learning course. The first module walks advocates through the principles of narrative change that we use in our work, and the second module looks more deeply at how those principles actually operate and how they can be applied in an advocacy context. This course is free to take and share.
